This not what our forefather risked and often paid with their lives, for. Nor is this what they envisioned when they drafted the Declaration of Independence and our Constitution. We have failed to justify the sacrifices that so many of our nation's sons, have made since the birth of our nation. Of course, I am sure that you are wondering what I am babbling about, though any true patriot, should have a long list of things that might fit this introduction. What I am talking about is the apathy that many of us have adopted these past 3 decades, and especially during these past few week after the World Trade Center and Pentagon Attacks, towards those who hate our country.
We have grown fat and lazy; taking for granted the blessing our God has given this country, though it is forbidden to actually acknowledge God's part in our country's success. We told we must be "Tolerate" of "EVERYONE'S" views to the point of surrendering our own, for there is no "Right and Wrong", "Black and White", but rather only points of views and shades of gray. We are made to bow down to the demands of the few, in order not to "Offend" anyone, as we might damage their "Self-Esteem". We have become so complacent , that we can't even tell when American has been attacked, unless it is flashed on the evening news or there is a body count. In the days following the September 11th, 2001 attack on the World Trade Center and Pentagon, our national pride was sparked, but that is all. Our "Patriotism" seems to falls well short of what it should be. Many of you are saying, "Not me! I have my 'United We Stand' shirt on, and my little flag stuck on my automobile! I have my red, white, and blue ribbon on my lapel, and I am for bombing the terrorist and their supporters! You couldn't possibly be including me with those people whom you speak about!" No?! I hate to break the news to you, but you are what I call a "Trendy Patriot", if the trend is to show patriotism, then you are all for it, but as the days and weeks after the attacks begin to accumulate, the vast majority of so-called American's 'National Pride', will likely fade, as there already seems to be evidence suggest it may have begun. Not even 2 weeks after the attacks of September 11th, 2001, several incidents of Anti-American acts had been recorded here in our own country, all in the name of "Tolerance" and "Not wanting to Offend someone who might not like the United States of America". For example: Berkley, CA. orders it's municipal vehicles to remove all "American Flags", as it might offend someone! 2 fire-fighters in Miami, FL. refuse to ride fire trucks that have American flags on them. ABC News orders its employees to remove American flags and such from its news set, so as not to offend anyone and show "Un-biasness" (as if it ever was "unbiased"). Sears orders all of its service trucks to remove any American flags they may have on them. And the list continues to grows as the number of days past September 11th, 2001, increases. And let's not forget our friends in the ACLU who are trying to force Schools who have "God Bless America" on marquees on School property, to remove them, as it might infringe on some anti-Christian's views. Our Forefathers must be rolling in their graves!
Over the last 30 years, public schools and the media have been slowly brain-washing our society! Our Constitutions and the Bill of Rights are as foreign to most Americans as the teachings of Islam! We have been lead to believe that the 1st Amendment of the Bill of Rights is all about Tolerance of EVERYONE'S ways, views and opinions, and most importantly, the separation of 'Church and State', which is about as far from the truth as you can get! Simply put, the 1st Amendment of the Bill of Rights, of the United States Constitution, protects our "God Given Rights" to worship God as we see fit! The closest thing to "Separation of Church and State", is the clause that prohibits the Government from establishing a "National Church" for the purposes of praying to God. It doesn't say nor insinuate that praying to God on public property or in public office is illegal, but rather says the Government cannot pass laws that define a sole method of worship. It makes no requirement that everyone's method of worship or beliefs be represented if any one says a prayer in a public place. Nor does it guarantee that everyone MUST be heard, when they choose to speak publicly. However, all of these things NOT protected by the 1st Amendment are attributed to be the meaning of the 1st Amendment. Thus we have the American Civil Liberties Union championing these misgivings. Sadder still, is the fact that so many of our Judges, due to their lack of fully understanding the 1st Amendment, or simply trying to push their distorted views and beliefs, by writing law from their bench, allow the ACLU to prevail in case after case, thus effectively, re-writing the 1st Amendment and any other Amendment that doesn't go along with their personal views.
Why the vast majority of Americans aren't fighting mad, as a result of the domestic assault on our National Identity is a testament to the thoroughness of the ACLU, their supportive Judges and the Media, for if the media was against the ACLU, it would have long since faded into the background, and not been nearly as effective as it has been. However, now is the time for the 'TRUE PATRIOTS" to awaked and make a stand! We must take back our country and protect it from both the domestic threats, as well as protect ourselves from the foreign threats. We need to say to those that burn our flags here in our own country, or who refuse to work due to the display of an American flag, "IF YOU DON'T LOVE OUR FLAG AND THE COUNTRY FOR WHICH IT STANDS, THEN GET THE HELL OUT!", less we desecrate the sacrifices all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our liberties and our country!!! Freedom and Liberty does not, and has not come cheaply, for it is paid for with Patriots' Blood and Sacrifice, and it is time we came to grips with that truth once more, as did our Forefathers and especially our Founding Fathers! Has it been so long ago, that we have forgotten, "Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death!" and "Don't Tread on Me!"? I think it is time that we reminded not only ourselves but the whole world, who made these statements and what the mean!
GOD BLESS OUR AMERICAN FLAG, AND THOSE WHO LOVE IT SO MUCH THEY ARE WILLING TO GIVE THEIR LIVES TO DEFEND IT AND OUR LIBERTIES!!!
